Not quite ready yet
Posted by thejtaexperience on July 19, 2008
I just came home from the focus group discussion (look at the picture on top) organized by the people who went to Josai International University last year and I didn’t come home really really excited about going to JIU right now. I don’t know, maybe I am not just ready to leave yet. However, there are some things in the discussion which made me look forward to my short stay in Japan and these are:
1. They said that clothes there are relatively inexpensive contrary to popular belief. — Yay!!! This means that I will be able to afford adding funky and trendy Japanese clothes in my wardrobe.
2. Having a bike is a necessity since this will be the primary mode of transportation from my apartment to school and other nearby places. — I’m so excited about this since biking is fun. When I was a kid, I had so much fun riding a bike most especially going downhill.
3. Tokyo is big. — Since Tokyo is big, then there are a lot of places to explore and thus we will not run out of places to do. Of course, I do not want to get bored in Japan.
4. Intensive Japanese language lessons. — I think this will be handy for me in the future when I intend to apply for jobs in Japan.

Rachel, I’m excited too!!! Sale season in Japan is from November – January and I’m saving up for it already!!! I told them, I’d rather spend my winter break money on clothes rather than to travel. Haha!
